Candidates born in 2003 or younger
Program duration up to 6 minutes including:

  • Piece from the baroque epoch
  • Free choice program

First category
Candidates born in 2000 or younger
Program duration up to 12 minutes including:

  • First movement of a sonata ( sonatine) from the classical epoch
  • Free choice program

Second category
Candidates born in 1998 or younger
Program duration from 18 to 20 minutes including:

  • Sonata from the epoch of classicism
  • Free choice program

Third category
Candidates born in 1996 or younger
Program duration up to 25 minutes including:

  • A piece from a contemporary author (20th and 21st century)
  • Free choice program

Fourth category
Candidates born in 1994 or younger
Stage one
Program duration from 15 to 20 minutes including:

  • A piece from the Baroque epoch
  • Free choice program

Stage two
Program duration from 20 to 25 minutes including:

  • A piece from a contemporary composer (20th and 21st century)
  • Free choice program

Fifth category
Contestants born in 1990 or younger
Stage one
Program duration from 20 to 25 minutes including:

  • A piece from a French composer
  • Free choice program

Stage two
Program duration from 25 to 30 minutes including:

  • Sonata from a contemporary composer (20th and 21st century)
  • Free choice program

Stage three
Concert for harp and orchestra or concert piece (choose one from the following)
1. A. Ginastera : Harp concerto, op. 25
2. W. A. Mozart : flute and harp concerto in C. K. 299 
3. E. P. Alvars, Concerto op. 98 in E­flat Major 
4. M. Ravel: Introduction and Allegro
5. C. Debussy: Dance sacree et danse profane

 

CELTIC HARP

The first category:
-2003. and younger
Program duration from 5 to 8 minutes including:
1. Free choice of jazz, traditional or popular music

The second category:
-2000. and younger
Program duration from 10 to 13 minutes including:
1. Free choice of jazz, traditional or popular music

NOTE:
- Running time includes the entire duration of the performances from the beginning to the end of performance
- The program will be run exclusively by compositions written for harp as a solo instrument
- Competitors must perform all the compositions from memory
- Compositions from one stage can not be repeated in the other stages
- Stages are eliminatory
- Prepare three sets of photocopies of notes which candidate will be perform
